Aligning Policy With Practice to Strengthen Local Content
Over 14 years on from the enactment of the NOGICD Act, the Nigerian oil and gas industry can boast successes including a Nigerian content level of 56%. This has been made possible through the development of human capacity, services and domestically manufactured goods. The Nigerian Content Seminar is organised in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), creating an avenue for industry players to have a deeper understanding of the NOGICD Act and its accompanying opportunities. The goal of the Nigerian Content Seminar is for government and industry players in the Nigerian oil and gas sector to deliberate how Nigerian Content can unlock potential. The Seminar encourages delegates to promote the utilisation of in-country capacities for Nigeria’s development through the effective implementation of the NOGICD Act.
